Open Position: Laboratory Assistant
Graphene Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to participate in the production of graphene materials. The position has potential for part or full-time employment, and may be used for internship experience. Responsibilities include: the preparation of graphene wafers, development and optimization of graphene coatings, development and fabrication of graphene devices, and the characterization of graphene materials by spectroscopy techniques.
The successful applicant will be able to work in a fast-paced environment under little supervision. Candidates should possess at least a Bachelor’s degree, and have experience in a chemistry laboratory. Qualified recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Desired skills are:
· A background in materials science, chemistry, physics, or nanotechnology
· The ability to work independently after adequate training
· Experimental experience with graphene materials
· Knowledge of nanofabrication techniques such as spin coating, thin film deposition, sample preparation, and etching
· Operating experience with Raman Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)
